PAMAX Petfoods (Pamax Kft.) has been extruding, coating and packing pet food in Hungary since 1993. We are not a trading house: every kilogram we quote is produced on our own lines, by our own operators, under our own ISO 22000 food-safety management system and under Hungarian veterinary authority (NÉBIH) registration.
That direct control is why importers, private-label retail chains and pet specialty distributors in more than 30 markets trust us with their brands. Our technologists sit next to the extruder — so a recipe adjustment, a kibble shape change or a new bag format is a production decision, not a negotiation with a third party.

Private Label Pet Food Questions, Answered
Our standard MOQ starts at 5 tonnes per recipe for paper and 3-layer laminated bags, and 8 tonnes for foil packaging of semi-moist snacks. For a first trial order we can combine several pack sizes of the same recipe, so importers and retail chains can test the market with limited stock exposure.

Yes. Pamax Kft. operates an ISO 22000 food safety management system, is registered with the Hungarian veterinary authority (NÉBIH) and manufactures according to EU Regulation (EC) 767/2009 on the placing on the market of feed and Regulation (EC) 183/2005 on feed hygiene. Every production batch is traceable from raw material intake through to the finished pallet.
A typical first project runs 4–6 weeks: recipe selection and quotation within 48 hours of a complete brief, sample production and artwork approval in 2–3 weeks, then 2–3 weeks for bag printing and the production slot. Repeat orders are normally produced and shipped within 15–20 working days.

Development includes nutritional calculation, trial extrusion, palatability testing and shelf-life validation.
We currently export to more than 30 markets, including non-EU destinations in the Middle East, Asia, the Balkans and Africa. Our export desk prepares the required health certificates, commercial documentation and label adaptations for the destination country, and works with both full-truck and container groupage logistics.
